Day 30: Take a picture of my colleagues #BlogVember

Wow, I can’t believe 30 days has come to an end.  I am going to have to put my thinking cap on to keep the blogging momentum going.

Here is a photo of the awesome team I work with (minus me of course as I took the photo).  It was taken a couple of months back when we went on a little adventure to watch the sunset on the Sea Point promenade.

29. Book you are currently reading #BlogVember

When it comes to most things I generally have a “feast or famine” approach.  No different with reading.  So when I find an author I enjoy, I read every book of theirs I can lay my hands on.

In Primary school I read all of the Enid Blyton, Judy Blume and Roald Dahl our school library and local book exchange had to offer.  When I got to High School I was obsessed with Dannielle Steele *cringe*.

Some of my other favourite authors that I have exhausted supplies of are Tami Hoag, Jonathan Kellerman and Jodi Picoult.

Finding the time to read is not easy but I made time when I got a copy of Salem Falls, which somehow I had never read.  I took full advantage of this amazing weather we have had this week-end and finished it this afternoon.  A day spent at the pool, relaxing and reading.  Roll on December holidays.

28. Cartoon character you best relate too? #BlogVember

My mind boogled as to which cartoon character I best related too.  I decided to call on the husband for some advice as he probably knows me best.  Hmm!  After trying to sidestep the question I kept asking,  eventually I told I was a lot like Olive Oyl.

Jeez, I didn’t see that one coming.  I had visions of being told I reminded him of Catwoman.

With my interest now having been tweaked as why I would be Olive Oyl, the only response I got was that I had a way of getting my own way without the other person realising it. Not too sure how that related to Olive and Popeye.  So for the sake of it being the Festive season, I opted for PEACE and ended that conversation. I did suggest perhaps I was more lik Jerry, which made the husband respond that he would then have to be Tom, who never wins a battle.  Touche!

One of my Tribelet’s relates the best to a cartoon character.  I get it almost every time we head out with her.  She either looks like Boo or Agnes.  You be judge and let me know what you think!

27. Take a photo of: a colour #BlogVember

Today I have cheated and not taken a photo of A colour but many colours.
This is a throw I received in 2008. Tayla went on overseas exchange and we were so lucky with the family that hosted her. She was spoilt rotten by them as she spent her 13th birthday with them in the UK.

When we got to host the beautiful Mabel in return, I was presented with this stunning throw.

22. S is for ……… #BlogVember

Sorry that this post is late but you know I am still slowly getting back into things after the blissful week-end in the Karoo.

I have the fortune (in some cases misfortune) of having worked and currently still working with many athletes and local celebs.  At the end of the day they are all like you and I, albeit some of them have not realised that yet.

Today my S is for Sven Ruygrok aka Rambo from the Spud movies.  I blogged about my first encounter with him here.

Since our meeting at the start of the year I have been lucky to get to know him.  I have a whole new perspective on how much hard work it takes when trying to make it in the acting world.  A more humble, smarter, talented and grounded twenty something year old, you will go far to find.

Take a look at the trailer for the new Spud 3 movie which is currently on our screens, show your support by going to watch it, as we all know “Local is Lekker” #ProudlySouthAfrican.  Show Sven some ♥ by giving him a  follow on twitter @SvenRuygrok and subscribe to his YouTube channel here.  For the Mommy’s out there, this is one role model you DO want your children to have.
